HAFENTRIO Offenbach , OPG Offenbacher Projektentwicklungsgesellschaft mbH, Offenbach, Germany - FRANKEN\ARCHITEKTEN

In a bidding partnership with SSN Group AG, Franken Architekten took part in the competition for Inselspitze Hafen Offenbach. The HAFENTRIO offers exciting Work Life Flow fusion formats for a future waterfront living and working environment. The architecture optimally supports work processes and communication and creates a new identity and community-building “feel-good quarter” with space for interaction and networking for life, work and leisure. The core benefits of the HAFENTRIO are a start-up, innovative office spaces, a lifestyle hotel, an aparthotel with serviced apartments and a parking garage. The hotel shares with the office conference rooms and a spa/fitness area. The use of innovative gastronomy and retail formats will be supplemented. The diverse uses and their interactions are expressed in the form of the HAFENTRIO. Instead of classic combination of podium and tower, two L-shapes join in a duo in the northern wing. The southern wing complements the ensemble as a trio in the form of a released L-form. The architecture is like a rock formation in the current of the river surrounding the harbor island.

Narrative Spaces

"Parametric design, often linking the contextual with the meta-
phorical, is a
transparent and formal approach to the creation of a narrative archi-tecture."
